Streaming fundraising
Join our Streamers Without Borders community and stream live to save lives.
Whether you love to play Super Mario or enjoy streaming your favourite hobby, bring your community together to raise vital funds for Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders’ (MSF) work in Afghanistan, as well as supporting our work in neighbouring countries.
Your step by step guide to streaming for MSF UK
Step 1: Set up your stream
Set-up your stream on livestreaming platform, Twitch. If you’re new to Twitch, check out their handy Getting Started guide.
Step 2: Set up a fundraising page
Once you’ve started a new streaming campaign, you can set up a fundraising page using Tiltify or through JustGiving.
To connect your video broadcast to your streaming platform you will need software to do this. OBS is free to download and will allow you to broadcast your stream.
Step 3: Download our toolkit
We would love to share our toolkit with you to help raise awareness about our work in Afghanistan. Get in touch with us via the form below to let us know what you’re planning, and we can provide you with overlays, photos of our work and other resources to help you with your fundraising.
Step 4: Promote your campaign
Let your community know that you are raising funds for our Afghan Crisis Appeal. Email and social media are great ways to spread the word.
Step 5: Start streaming
Once everything has been set up, you’re ready to go! Launch your stream, have fun, and help our teams to continue providing the people of Afghanistan and neighbouring countries with the healthcare they desperately need.
