Whether you love to play Super Mario or League of Legends or you enjoy streaming your favourite hobby, bring your community together to raise vital funds for MSF's work
Your step by step guide to streaming for MSF UK
Step 1: Set up your stream
Set-up your stream on livestreaming platform, Twitch, on YouTube (or both!). If you’re new to Twitch, check out their handy Getting Started guide. YouTube also have a step-by-step guide – read their Digital Events Playbook.
Step 2: Set up a fundraising page
To connect your video broadcast to your streaming platform you will need software to do this. OBS is free to download and will allow you to broadcast your stream.
Step 3: Set yourself a target
Ignite some community spirit by collectively aiming for a fundraising target. Here are some examples of how your support could help our work:
- £153 can pay for a kit of emergency supplies to dress 50 wounds
- £279 could pay for six blood transfusion kits used in surgery
- £380 could help cover the cost of an MSF doctor working in a hospital for one week
Step 4: Download our toolkit
We would love to share our toolkit with you to help raise awareness about our work in conflict zones. Get in touch with us via the form below to let us know what you’re planning and we can provide you with overlays, photos of our work and other resources to help you with your fundraising.
Step 5: Promote your campaign
Let your community know that you are raising funds for MSF. Email, Discord and social media are great ways to spread the word.
Step 6: Start streaming
Once everything has been set-up, you’re ready to go. Launch your stream, have fun and raise some money!
