For more than 50 years, we’ve brought medical care to people who urgently need it – no matter where they are.
We’ve performed surgery in corridors and by the light of head torches. We’ve helped mothers deliver babies in warzones and resuscitated people caught up in explosions. With a gift in your will to MSF, you’ll help us carry on – independent, impartial and neutral for as long as people need us. Always and forever without borders.
We will always be committed to providing care to those who need it. But that legacy is not ours alone.
Choosing the type of gift
Gifts of any size will make a real difference – helping us to keep our promise to provide medical care wherever we’re needed. There are two main ways people leave gifts to us:
Residuary gift
This is the best way to help us respond in an emergency. It is a percentage of what is left in your estate once you have provided for your loved ones.
Pecuniary gift
Also known as a cash gift. This is a fixed amount of money that you might like to leave to MSF UK.
How to leave a gift in your will to MSF
We strongly advise that you contact a solicitor to make or amend your will. Although you will have to pay a fee, you will receive professional advice and can be sure that your wishes will be carried out.
We also recommend reviewing your will every few years or if your circumstances change. In either event, we advise you to contact a solicitor to make any changes.
When leaving a gift to MSF UK your solicitor will need to know our address and registered charity number:
- Médecins Sans Frontières (UK), Level 5, Artesian, 9 Prescot Street, London, E1 8PR
- Registered Charity number: 1026588
We strongly encourage you to leave a gift without restrictions on its use, so it can be used where medical need is greatest at the time. If you’d like your gift to go towards a specific interest or part of the world, we’d be happy to discuss your options.
How your gift makes an impact
Because we don’t take any government funding, it really is the generosity of people like you that helps keep us going. This means we remain independent, impartial and neutral, and can deliver care to anyone who needs it.
One in five of our projects are funded by gifts in wills. You can feel confident that we will always use your money in a responsible, effective and innovative way.
