Ojulu is a 36-year-old driver in Doro refugee camp for Medecins Sans Frontieres in South Sudan. Married with five children he’s been working with the charity for three years. Oulu was the main driver I rode with on my trip and he took me to to the ‘market’ when I needed a sweet drink (the market was two makeshift huts with cigarettes, crisps, coca cola and UNHCR tarpaulins for sale) I bought five bottles of Coke, gave one to him and he told me to hide the rest as I had spent a huge amount of money compared to what was available within the camp, this was the first eye-watering realisation (of many).
