Why now?
The healthcare situation for people in Afghanistan is catastrophic. Drought and an economic crisis have left millions of people struggling for food and medicines.
What is MSF doing?
Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is treating record numbers of patients, including severely malnourished children. The need is now so great that children are having to share hospital beds.
Thanks to our independent funding, we're running five projects across the country providing both emergency and everyday medical care.
