GCSE resources

A Level resources
The texts in this resource are based on news articles about three different topics linked to MSF’s current work. For each topic, there are two exam-style texts of approximately 100 words (one in English and one in German) to translate into the opposite language. It is designed to be used for Year 13 translation and exam practice, and is ideal for revision, homework, cover work or independent study.
Although it does not match any exam board specifications as it is not linked to a German-speaking country, it could be used more broadly to develop vocabulary and skills linked to the themes of Multiculturalism in German-speaking society (AQA) and German immigration and multicultural society (Edexcel). This resource is also available in French and Spanish.

This resource is based on a new project MSF is working on to fight arboviruses such as dengue and malaria. The key idea is that mosquitoes don’t just spread diseases – they can also be used to stop disease transmission! It includes exam-style questions and is ideal for revision, homework, cover work or independent study. It was created to mark Pride month but can be used at any time.
Although it does not match any exam board specifications as it is not linked to a German-speaking country, it could be used more broadly to develop vocabulary and skills linked to the themes of Aspects of German-speaking society (AQA) and Artistic culture in German-speaking countries (Edexcel).
