Join MSF at the Oxo Gallery
Join us at the Oxo Gallery on London’s Southbank this autumn for two exhibitions celebrating our life-saving work.
From the Ashes, I Rose
We have partnered with Egyptian photographer Rehab Eldalil and the international festival of photography, Cortona On The Move, to bring an exhibition that celebrates the resilience and strength of patients at the MSF’s reconstructive hospital in Amman, Jordan.
The MSF reconstructive hospital in Amman provides specialised rehabilitative care to war-wounded patients from across the Middle East, including medically evacuated children from Gaza. There, the team provide surgery, physiotherapy, mental health support and prosthetic fittings.
From the Ashes, I Rose confronts the devastating effects of warfare on civilians in countries such as Palestine, Syria, Iraq and Yemen.
Yet instead of focusing on the suffering of patients, the photographer has worked with them to reinterpret their experiences as profound acts of resilience and resistance. Their injuries are depicted as sources of strength and empowerment, metaphorically transformed into superpowers.
Journey with us to the MSF hospital in Jordan to learn about the restorative work we do and celebrate the stories of our patients’ healing, recovery and rebirth.
Medical Aid in Action: The work of Doctors Without Borders
