Register now: Launch of the 2025 MSF-Lancet Countdown Joint Brief

We are pleased to announce that Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) will contribute to the 2025 report of the Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change with a dedicated Joint Brief.

Drawing on indicators from the Lancet Countdown 2025 report, the Joint Brief will highlight how climate change and environmental degradation are complicating the humanitarian response – while also examining how MSF can address the environmental challenges within its own operations.

Register now to join the launch event on 4 November 2025 at 12:00 (UK time).

This year’s Joint Brief and webinar will focus on three important themes:

  • Single-use plastics in healthcare delivery
  • Extreme heat and early warning systems
  • WASH, supply chains, and health infrastructure

Join us for the launch to hear from the authors and contributors, explore the findings in more detail, and discuss how health and humanitarian actors can respond to the accelerating impacts of climate change.

Read the 2024 MSF-Lancet Countdown Joint Brief

The 2024 brief, Every Climate Action Counts, examined how climate change worsens health crises in humanitarian settings. Drawing on Lancet Countdown 2024 indicators, it highlighted MSF’s three-pillar response – mitigation, adaptation, and advocacy – and showcased innovations such as sustainable medical practices and early warning systems to strengthen climate-resilient health care.
