MSF EMERGENCY SURGERY RESPONSE

We can't operate without you

Support our expert medical teams working in crisis zones around the world

Whether it's a child wounded in an airstrike or a mother facing a complicated labour, emergency surgery can save lives.

But this care is complex. It requires highly trained staff, specialist equipment and sterile facilities. Shockingly, 70 percent of people on Earth have no access to safe surgery at all.

So, in conflict zones, natural disasters and remote communities around the world, it's MSF teams that are taking surgical care to where it's needed most.

We perform 13 vital operations – every single hour.

Why now?

Worldwide, MSF teams conduct around 114,000 major operations every year.

Now people in places like Gaza, Sudan and Afghanistan are facing new humanitarian crises.

In the countries where we work, the need for surgical care has never been higher.

What happens to my donation?

Eighty-four pence of every pound donated to MSF goes directly to our medical projects. And because we’re funded by individuals, not governments, we can act fast when a new crisis breaks.

None of this is possible without the support of our incredible donors.
